Helen Hamnett

Helping clients tackle a wide range of business challenges is what drives me and keeps my work exciting. If you're curious about the journey that brought me here, here’s a brief history...

Helen began her career in Market Research in 1999, joining Infratest Burke before moving to NFO and TNS. Over the years, she honed her expertise in client-facing roles, specialising in the FMCG and Retail sectors. Helen worked on high-profile UK and international accounts, focusing on areas such as NPD, Brand and Communications Tracking, Market Understanding, and Segmentation.

In 2008, Helen shifted her focus to Business Development and Commercial Training across both public and private sectors., including:

  • Leading the delivery of high-value proposals and pitches, collaborating with client teams and research specialists

  • Designing and delivering proposal writing training and pitch coaching

  • Managing and implementing a comprehensive client appraisal programme

  • Developing and rolling out a new account planning framework to drive client growth

 

In 2012, Helen founded her HCF Consulting, specialising in business development and training, where she continues to empower organisations to achieve their strategic goals, through: 

  • Client relationship training: Equipping teams with the skills to build and maintain strong, lasting client partnerships

  • Strategic account planning: Developing actionable account plans to unlock growth opportunities and maximise client value

  • Client growth consultancy: Identifying and capitalise on new opportunities to expand your business with existing and prospective clients

  • Proposal review and optimisation: Supporting your business in the development of high-impact proposals that clearly showcase your unique value proposition

  • Pitch support and coaching: Elevating your pitch performance with expert coaching and strategic preparation

  • Client interviews and appraisals: Gaining actionable insights through independent client feedback to strengthen relationships and refine strategies.

Based in North London, Helen lives with her husband and three children. She holds a BA in History from Leeds and an MA in History from UCL.
